SUSTAINABILITY
The world is changing, we are part of this change, that is why we have developed sustainable products: recyclable and compostable. The market evolves generating an awareness of companies committed to the environment, with the disadvantage of a higher price than conventional materials.
CIRCULAR ECONOMY
Committed to the environment in a consistent and fair manner. We are committed to circular economy based on a system that can take advantage of all the resources available to optimise the residual elements generated from manufacturing processes. Minimise, reuse and recycle are the three basic points of our system.
Minimise
Reducing waste is the best way of collaborating with our commitment to maintain a clean environment.
It is essential that we minimise the amount of product not consumed. Creating awareness regarding responsible consumption and production.
Reuse
A second chance for the materials we normally throw away. We can greatly reduce the amount of waste generated so as to avoid generating large amounts of waste.
We must raise awareness and commit to reusing all the material that can be recycled to offer all possible uses.
Recycle
Only by recycle all out day-to-day materials will we be able to provide a better life for everyone.
Avoiding the excessive generation of waste is essential to ensure environmental impact is minimal.

Technology, innovation and sustainability
BE GREEN is the result of this combination.
After years spent on research and development, the Braskem green ethylene plant was launched. This marked the beginning of polyethylene production on a commercial scale, ensuring the company’s leading position in the bioplastic sector.
Green polyethylene is a plastic produced from sugar cane, a renewable raw material, while traditional polyethylene uses raw materials from fossil fuels such as oil or natural gas. Thus, BE GREEN captures and repairs CO0 from the atmosphere in its production process, which helps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Additionally, care for sustainability is present in the relationship with the ethanol suppliers of Braskem. From the planting of sugar cane to ethanol production, suppliers must comply with the principles of sustainable development included in the “Sustainable ethanol sourcing” developed and applied by Braskem, which covers aspects such as respect for biodiversity and good environmental practices.
BE GREEN polyethylene preserves the same properties, performance and versatility of application of fossil fuel polyethylene, which facilitates its immediate use in the chain of production of plastics. For this same reason, it can also be recycled within the same recycling chain as traditional polyethylene.
PJC currently provides BE GREEN polyethylene from renewable sources to several customers around the world, which operate in several industry segments.
Since its founding, Braskem and its partners have been recognised and have collected awards from prestigious laboratories and institutions due to the contribution of BE GREEN polyethylene to the market development of renewable products and due the innovation and the preservation of the environment.
